Search Engine Success for Bras4Mums
|
 Website: Bras4Mums.co.uk
After a disappointing hunt for specialist advice on bras for pregnant and breastfeeding mums, Tracey-Jane Hughes (T-J) has filled a gap in the market with bras4mums – a retail and advisory business with a unique fitting service for mums at home in the North West.
T-J came up with the idea in 2004, just three months after her second son was born. Business has rocketed and T-J attributes its success to an integrated marketing strategy - which includes Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) with Thomas Cole.
Within 6 months, bras4mums achieved success in the search engines and T-J discovered the value of being on the first page of the results, as well as receiving expert advice on boosting ratings by using targeted key phrases.
Visitor numbers reached an impressive 21,034 since SEO work began in December 2007 and the site can now be found on the first pages of Google, Yahoo and MSN and is at number 1 on Google for 'maternity bras'. 6 months ago, the site didn’t even figure in the top 50!
“I am extremely pleased with the work that Thomas Cole has done for bras4mums,” says T-J, “I enjoy working with a team who have such expertise and enthusiasm for what they do.” T-J now hopes to take her business to the next level and operate a nationwide service. Posted 18/08/2008 13:36:59 |

Customer proves popular with television programmes!
|
Curtain retailer, RB Contacts or Choose Curtains as they are known online was approached by ITV1 home improvement show '60 minute makeover', to supply curtains to a project in Chorley.
The research team found RB contacts after typing "made to measure curtains" into a well known search engine. They were delighted to find a company so local within the first few results and immediately got in contact.
This is not their only taste of television, only one week before, the company was contacted by the BBC to supply curtains to the popular soap EastEnders. As well as previously supplying curtains to the well known channel four series:'How Clean is Your House?'
It is not a fluke that they were found so easily by all three production teams, as they are a monthly Search Engine Optimisation client of ours, and we ensure that ChooseCurtains.com is regularly displayed within the top 5 results of the major Search Engines for the term "curtains".

Local Businesses invited to “Wake up Chorley”
|
Local businesses were given the opportunity to meet with likeminded people at a recent event held in Chorley.
The “Wake up Chorley” event, organised by local internet Business Thomas Cole Solutions and held at the Next Generation gym was visited by over 100 delegates. The event began with the opportunity to network and visit stands from local businesses. Delegates were then invited to listen to presentations from 2 highly respected business people, the first being John McNamee, Chorley resident and Chief Executive of the Children’s Safety Education Foundation, (CSEF), a national charity that provides safety education resources to schools including many schools in Chorley. This was followed by a second presentation from Sir Bill Taylor, former leader of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
During the presentations, a cheque for £250 was presented to CSEF by Ross Johnson, Director of Thomas Cole. Ross said “We decided to run a second Wake Up Chorley event after the success of last year, and we have been delighted with the response from local business people. It was great to see such a buzz amongst the delegates, and several delegates made a point of letting me know how useful they found the event. “
One of the exhibitors was David Kevill, Director of local company Inspire Spreadsheets and Chairman of Central Lancashire Business Club. He said:- “I thought Wake Up Chorley was an exceptionally well organised event with a very varied program for visitors. Inspire Spreadsheets are a new company and as such effective publicity is essential and this event proved extremely good in this respect.
He added:- As Chairman of Central Lancashire Business Club, events such as Wake Up Chorley are invaluable to our members, who are predominately small local organisations. Most exhibitions charge very high fees for exhibitors which puts them out of reach of small companies. To have a cost effective opportunity to display the products and services they offer is very welcome indeed. A number of Central Lancashire Business Club members have exhibited at the Wake Up Chorley events both this year and last and all felt the events had been very beneficial."
